Porter-Cable's most versatile laminate trimming kit, this deluxe
kit includes all of the accessories available for the #7301 motor.
This powerful 5.6 amp AC/DC motor turns at 30,000 rpm to make quick
work of trimming tasks. The motor has 100% ball bearing construction
for durability and smooth operation. A metal lower motor housing
increases heat dissipation, protecting the motor. A built-in spindle
lock and flat-top design allow for quick and easy one-wrench bit
changes. The 1/4-inch collet accepts laminate trimming bits as well
as router bits. The four bases each have their own specialty and
together make a complete kit for the installer. The tilting base
tilts 30 degrees to the right and 45 degrees to the left to allow
use where the motor prevents other laminate trimmers from cutting
close to vertical obstructions. Precise bit depth adjustments are
easy with the Micro-set adjustment knob on the standard base. This
is especially important in beveling corners of self-edged laminate
projects since the top sheet must be trimmed to an exact depth to
prevent damaging the side sheet. The offset base allows trimming
of backsplashes and trimming into tight corners. The underscribe
base is used for accurately seaming two sheets of laminate together.
